About us

Born in CA.
Raised in Wine Country.

The Ricci family has farming in our blood. For multiple generations our hands have tilled the soil and cultivated the land that has ultimately become one of the most esteemed wine locales in the world. Since 1982, our vineyards have produced premium wine grapes sought after by renown winemakers and revered wineries throughout Sonoma and beyond.

After forty-plus years farming, we are also very proud to be producers of small-lot, boutique wines crafted from Carneros. We encourage you to share in our adventures and be a witness to our wine journey.

Being a family-run business, we have a very small collection of individuals that are involved with many different facets of the day-to-day operations of the vineyard and wine brand. We think that makes us stronger as a team as it broadens our knowledge and skill set. We encourage you to meet the people behind Ricci Vineyards and get to know us better.

About Carneros

It doesn’t take long after stepping into Carneros to realize this place is different. There is a sheer romantic ruggedness that lingers — both from the topography as well as within the people that reside here. This is wine country as it ought to be and a place where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir shine.

Our History

Ricci Vineyards has a rich history that started with founder Dale Ricci’s vision in the 1970s. Despite skepticism about Carneros’ potential for vineyards, Dale was undeterred in his pursuit. Building on the family’s farming heritage, Dale transformed a former dairy into a flourishing vineyard. Today, with approximately 221 acres of vineyards, Ricci Vineyards remains committed to producing the finest fruit for the esteemed wines of Carneros. Our journey is a testament to the power of determination and passion, and we’re proud to share our remarkable wines with you.

Ricci Vineyards Rosé of Pinot Noir

Remnants of an Old Windmill

The image above, which can be found on the label for our Rosé of Pinot Noir, is the last remaining vestige of a windmill that existed on the property long before it ever became a vineyard. Perhaps more precisely, this was part of a wind pump that drew water from an underground well and fed it into a stock trough for grazing cattle. Although the cattle have long been removed, and the physical relics of a livelihood that existed prior to the vineyard slowly fade to dust, this tower is an unrelenting reminder of our family’s legacy; first as ranchers, now as farmers, and forever patrons to the land.
